Building the Mississippi Children's Museum
The goal of the Mississippi Children's Museum is to empower and inspire all our state's children, regardless of their social, educational or economic background, to discover their potential through tapping their curiosity and creativity. We will do this through hands-on and engaging exhibits and programs focusing on literacy, cultural arts, science & technology, health & nutrition, and Mississippi Heritage.
Construction has begun on the $24.5 million, 40,000 square-foot facility, which is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2010 at LeFleur's Bluff State Park. It will be a place that children will want to visit over and over because they recognize it as their place. They know that something wonderful happens when they arrive at the Mississippi Children's Museum...
We have raised over 80% of our goal towards our $24.5 million capital campaign through the generous help of our donors: the state of Mississippi, corporations, individuals, and foundations. We need your help to complete our goal. To learn more about the MCM Capital Campaign, click here.
