Dear Friends,
Welcome to our home. As you enter our front door, you will notice that we have big plans. Plans that call for the construction of new learning space for our children – a learning space called The Mississippi Children’s Museum.
Our museum will be a 43,000 square foot structure with 20,000 square feet of exhibit space arranged around the five themes of Mississippi heritage, health & nutrition, literacy, cultural arts, and science & technology. Our goal is to provide a unique and exciting educational experience that ignites and inspires a thirst for discovery, knowledge and learning in all children.
In 2010, The Mississippi Children’s Museum will join over 300 other children’s museums around the country to address the urgent need of children to find ways to engage in active play that unleashes their curiosity and allows them to explore and discover in ways that ignite their imaginations. Come join us in our efforts to make this plan a reality. Come be a part of our community by being a part of The Mississippi Children’s Museum.
Thank you for your interest and again welcome. This museum is for all of our children.
Sincerely yours,
Susan Garrard
Executive Director
