Fueled for Adventure

A weekly program that promotes healthy eating habits.  Each week we lead a program in our Red Rocket Café that begins with learning how to make a healthy snack and ends with eating the yummy results! Join us Thursdays at 3:30 by the Red Rocket Café for Fueled for Adventure.

Cool off this May with Fueled for Adventure’s Cool Treats

  • May 3: Frozen Ban-ola
  • May 10: Fruit-pop with yogurt
  • May 17: Fruit Salad Pops
  • May 24: Yogurt Pop
  • May 31: Banana Split

MCM’s weekly program Fueled for Adventure, sponsored by St. Dominic Health Services, focuses on nutritious food and healthy choices. This summer we invite children to submit their own healthful snack recipes for a chance to be featured as Fueled for Adventure’s Chef of the Day! Winners will be invited to MCM on the Thursday that their recipe is featured and will be the Chef for the Day in the museum’s Red Rocket Cafe. Winning recipes will be printed and distributed during the program.

Recipe submission starts May 1 through May 15 and winners will be notified by May 31. Submission forms will be available to download and return to the museum’s Program Director. Museum guests can also pick up and submit forms at the Red Rocket Cafe.

**Please note: recipes must be the child’s own creation not recipes that can be found on the internet or in a cookbook.
